The Archetypal Influence of the Month
In this month the overall influence of the Empress places upon us, a pressure to grow and expand; and the desire to both simultaneously learn, but also speak out and share your knowledge with the world. This creates a tension, from trying to receive, and actively give, at the same time. This can increase the intensity of this month.
The Empress is the first archetype to birth the new, and she represents the spring and all it ushers in. It’s this moment when we start to feel this process, and yet we’re still actually in the winter (in the northern hemisphere), not quite yet ready to emerge in action. There’s this kind of excitement and a bit of impatience for what is next, and what’s very important, is to finish what has been cultivated and prepare it for expression. It’s all about refinement during this period. There can be an evaluation period, of what needs to stay, or be cut, and what can be improved in all aspects of life; relationships, work, and home. It’s both a cleansing of the old, and a planting of new seeds. On a more mystical note, there is the potential for channeling; new inspirations and ideas, which inspire you deeply.
Socially, there can be a focus on the community, collective, and tribe; attentive consideration and contemplation toward your social interactions and network. Are we expressing our true nature and vision? Are we surrounded by the right community for that expression?
The Empress, in her pregnant depiction, is a reminder that we must be conscious of this period of gestation, and growth; what are we cultivating within, needs our attention and care to eventually be birthed and expressed into the world.
